Why this works
Cottage cheese provides protein and calcium, along with tryptophan — the amino acid the body uses to build serotonin and melatonin. Cherries (especially tart varieties) are one of the few natural dietary sources of melatonin. Calcium supports long-term bone health, increasingly important as women approach menopause.
Meal Prep Tips
Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Portion into individual servings before storing to make grab-and-go mornings easier.
Reheating: Enjoy cold straight from the fridge, or warm gently in the microwave for 20–30 seconds — avoid overheating, as the eggs in the mixture can turn rubbery if reheated too long.
Pairing: Pairs well with a spoonful of Greek yogurt, a few extra cherries, or a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness.
